I don't care, do you?

Sometimes the news is just too much for me. I am so sick of seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger being hit with an
egg. Why is this so damned important that it needs to be on the news over and over and over again. Is nothing more important happening in the world? Yes, I enjoyed seeing it, once. One time will do. Maybe twice. The novelty wore off after the 13th or 14th million times it was aired.

Madonna kissed Britney. So what?? She kissed Christina Aguilera too. I know. I watched the MTV Awards. I saw it. Yet there was no shocking front page photo saying Madonna kissed Christina Aguilera. If I was Christina I'd be a little irritated. What's the deal? Are they implying that Christina is more of a whore so no one was surprised that she'd kiss Madonna on television? Is Britney that much of an angel that a little liplock is national news? Please. I've kissed a girl or two in my day, it's no big deal. Get over it already.

Oh wait. Looks like I've answered my own question. Seems that nothing important is going on in the world at the moment. I know this because the House is now debating French Fries. Did anyone ever really call them Freedom Fries anyway? This is trully sad. Come on, France, be a sport. We'll give you back the fries if you join forces with us against Iraq. What do you say?

Stupid crap.

I love the smell of napalm in the morning

I'm fond of war movies. I'm not sure why. I just am. Apocalypse Now, Casualties of War, Hamburger Hill, Full Metal Jacket, The Thin Red Line, A Bridge Too Far, and so on and so on. Platoon happens to be one of my favorites. I watch it every time it's on TV and I always cry when Elias is killed. Yeah, that's right, I cry. Cry like a little baby. Those of you who know my fear of Willem Dafoe will find that strange. Yes, the man gives me the creeps. Platoon is the only movie I can tolerate him in. Sgt. Elias is my favorite character, and I get very upset when he dies. I want to crawl into the screen, yell cut, and change the script. No, no, no....Barnes dies here. Barnes is cut down by a swarm of VC soldiers, not Elias. Places everyone. Let's role film. I can hear you laughing at me. Shut up, it's not funny. And Bunny can kiss my ass. Red O'Neill, okay, I like him, but Bunny is a nutcase. King is cool. Lerner's cute. Junior irritates me. Before I run through the entire character list, let me just say again that I like war movies and call it a night.
